The wait is nearly over. The highly anticipated new launch of Gabrielle Chanel fragrance is finally here (Well, for the VIPs at least).

Why is it such a big deal of this new fragrance launch?
Well, it’s Chanel’s first new scent since Chance in 2002. It’s clearly a big deal and a celebration of its heritage for the year of Gabrielle. If you would have asked, Gabrielle Chanel is the real name of the iconic designer and Coco was merely a nickname or rather her stage name during her brief career as a singer.

What do I like about Gabrielle Chanel fragrance?
A little secret about myself, I have a fetish for fragrances and their bottles. I do get obsessed over perfumes bottles every time I passes by DFS. It goes without saying when I first saw the Gabrielle bottle, I knew she is going to be in one of my collection. The well-designed bottle has a thin base which made it looks really sleek and chic unlike many other fragrances that I have owned. Also, the tube straw is almost invisible in the bottle.

Composed by the in-house master perfumer, Oliver Polges, the abstract yet feminine floral scent smells clean and modern. You can detect top notes of ylang-ylang, tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom with hints of creamy sandalwood too.

My way of describing it?It’s very Chanel.

Apart from that, I am way excited over the Gabrielle series, not just the bags collection. And I am also anticipating for a Gabrielle Chanel watch now, if it ever launches it. #Justsaying

The Gabrielle perfume releases in Chanel boutiques from 19 August, and at retailers islandwide on 1 September 2017.
Psst… The early birds will receive a golden leather pouch. While stocks last.
